Good morning!
It's Saturday morning and yep. Things like the following
only happen to me. :-/
As you might remember, I've been going to the gym now
every day for the past 4 weeks. And right now, we have
a contractor who is working on our house....so the husband
goes first and I go afterwards.
Well, two days ago, a little old lady hit my husband's
car in the parking lot. Being a nice guy, the husband
decided she had far worse damage and chose to let it
go. She didn't want to file a police report either.
He came home, told me everything, I empathized,
and then went to the gym. Entered the woman's lockerroom,
stripped down to change into my bathing suit,
and then heard the gathering of little old ladies
in the next aisle talking about 'that bad man
who just drove off and refused to file a police
report!'
I never threw my clothing on again so fast.
Then I exited the lockerroom to tell the husband
what was going on (talk about twisting all the facts!).
Still waiting to see how it all ends. Let that be
a lesson for you, however - ALWAYS file a police
report. Always always always. I'm now officially
jaded enough that I want to protect me and mine
FIRST no matter what the other party promises.
