My kids have today off so we'll be taking them out for Hot Pot and chatting about how school has been treating them so far.  To the best of my knowledge, things are going well... Friday I'll be taking one of the kids for some future testing that should be most enlightening.  And this morning, of course, gym!   Taking my health seriously.... putting on muscle and also losing inch fragments.  Any step forward, no matter how small ==> positive.

Product Launch Formula 2016!

So!  Yesterday I bought the PLF Course and wow.

If I had internalized this when I first started 'way back when.... or even last year.....

It's premium but SUPER worthwhile.

At the sales page, you have to sit thru the video until the Buy Button emerges.  I had already decided I wanted to get it, so I kept it playing in the background while I did my other work.

And make no mistake, this is premium stuff, priced premium if you go one shot.  

There are two choices for this - monthly or one shot (which saves you $300 or so).  I bought the 1 shot access.

And yesterday!  Can you say, DMV?  I spent 1.5 hours yesterday at the DMV... trying to *finally* register the car I inherited from my dad.  This was the 5th time I went there and yes!  Success was mine!!  I then bought 10 chocolate bars for the nice lady who helped but can you believe, they are NOT allowed to accept any gifts at all.  :(  So instead, I gave them to my kids.

Got to the gym, however,  did swimming (yay!) and ah yes - kids have only a half day today (and they're off tomorrow!).  So I'll pack them into the gym this afternoon too.

Well, in 2003.... I realized that the vast majority of folks did NOT want reams of reading.

Nor did they want to wait for product shipment.

But they DID want something that gave an instant <boom!> that allowed them to at least....

 

But making products....

Well, that's only the beginning.

Getting the word out so people BUY your products?


 

Like I mentioned, I am going to buy this too, after I get back from swimming (class starts at 10am and I simply cannot miss anything that helps my physical well-being).

Chapter 3

When last we chatted, I had shared my 23K mistake  from 2000 which involved me abandoning a proven audience and trying for a new one without doing one key exercise.

And it's this.

You need to VERIFY your audience actually WANTS what you have to offer!

See, I was sold that the realtor audience was 800K big....

But did NOT take time to realize that back then....

Realtors didn't use the Internet!
 

So yep... imagine that you had a buying audience....

But instead of building to that buying audience....

You figuratively drove off a cliff.
 

Now remember.... back then, I was making Physical products.

But in 2003... that all changed!  And I  will share that with you tomorrow because it taught me something HUGELY powerful.....

A thing that enables me to create bestsellers in ANY niche at all.

Chapter 2:

When last we chatted, I had told you about my product creation history.

And I closed with the story about the critical mistake I made.

It was this.

See, I was number 1 in selling Internet Recruiting training at $147 a pop....

But instead of *focusing* and *building* that niche.....

I jumped to a NEW industry... Real Estate.  I made The Real Estate Pros Internet Edge!

 

I call it "my 23K mistake" because it cost me 23K to make all the deluxe binders.

See, back then, the Real Estate market had 800K realtors....

And I thought, woohoo! Huge Market!

So instead of really making bleeploads of money with recruiters..... I divided my focus and WAH!

Why wah?  Because I forgot one tiny thingee.....

Back in 2000, hardly ANY realtors used the Internet!
 

And get this.

In 2000, it was the Product Pick by the National Association of Realtors!

But because my target audience didn't yet embrace computers....

It hugely flopped.

When I moved in 2002 or so, I even brought with me all 17 extra big boxes of binders.....

And dumped them all, finally, at my husband's urging... in 2013.

A VERY expensive mistake... but one that was priceless.

Can you believe....

I've created over 80 profitable products since before 2000.

But the *real* story.... oh wow, it's something you'll be able to relate to!

See, it all started back in 1998..... 

That was the year I released my very *first* offline product, The Internet Recruiting Edge.  It was a printed binder that taught recruiters how to find resumes for zero cost online.  That year, it earned 5 stars from Inc. Magazine - you can see that review over at http://www.inc.com/magazine/19980801/984.html .

Can you believe, each copy was sold for $147?  That was my first year in which I cleared 250K - I was in the right time at the right place with the right product and the right mentor who opened the right doors and and and.....

Grand times indeed!

But back then...

Ah, back then I was the pioneer of teaching recruiters and HR folk how to save big bucks by zeroing in on the quality candidates they desired.  I didn't stop there, however... I ended up traveling around the country giving seminars as well!  England and Canada too... I'd stand in front of an audience for 8 hours and teach them exactly how to get that crucial edge over their competitors.

Glorious days those... back when I could actually (ahem) *walk* well.  No fused ankle back then, nope!

I remember back then.... I would provide CDROMs and training manuals for each attendee as well.   I still have them on my computer!  So attendees would not only learn....

They'd get their own done-for-you recruiters website....

100+ categorized bookmarks for all industries....

Attendees were *very* happy indeed.
