I can finally now understand when 'selling the dream' can actually make sense.
It's with the weightloss/dieting industries... to be precise, diet pills/supplements.
With this
caveat:
TELL THE BUYERS its buying the dream.
Would you believe... people will still buy it?
It could be the placebo effect... buying them COULD be the "action" that finally turns the key in the person's mind about getting
healthy...
I never really quite got that before.
You can tell people from here to eternity how diet pills do NOT work.... and they'll simply ignore you and buy anyways.
But! When/if they finally
*internalize* that such things do not work as advertised.....
They'll probably come back to you in the first place for what really does work (burning more calories than you consume, for the most part).
Human nature... interesting beastie indeed!
In other Lingland news, kids have half a day today, so we'll be taking them to their favorite Thai restaurant in the afternoon. Love Thai food I do!

Very enjoyable weekend, I must say. Husband and I took the kids to Mitsuwa which is a Japanese market up north. Their ramen is amazing! Much enjoyment there... and then we returned home where enjoy family time with kids and planned out this week.
Financial site is moving along - also will be adding a baby boomer
fitness/wellness place too. I think that's to where my interests really are laying.... not getting any younger you know, so being able to write about stuff that affects me *today* is super nifty.
