Parenting is such a hero's journey at times.
Suffice it to say,
one of my kids overspent compared to what kid brought in from eBay and Instagram....
... so I had to give natural consequences to that (future purchases delayed etc.)
The tears flowed like whine.
A very strident, heartfelt whine.....
Did I mention whine?
Sigh.
Dealt with it, mind you, rode out the storm, mind you,
but yep - very painful.
But as I'm *never* my kids' friend (always their parent)... it had to be done.
