Yesterday I took my kid to the counseling appointment but apparently... I misremembered the time. Wah! Had to reschedule it for today at 10.... good news is kid had an opportunity to deal with massive frustration (yay!) and did that well.
Fact is, I'm presenting multiple button-pushing opportunities in the kid's direction. If kid learns to step back and consider his reaction (instead of immediately reactiing)... that will be a massive win!!

Elsewhere in Lingland, the college-applying kid received the 7th academic scholarship - this one to Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers. 'Tis a great ego boost.
And! Attended the parents' session for "ADHD Kids Mindfulness" thingee.
In a nutshell, its goal is to teach kids how NOT to throw themselves off a figurative cliff (ie, recognize what's going on with their emotions and step back).
