Huuuuuge day yesterday was. One of my kids dealt with aspects of racism for the first time in school; we discussed that for about 20 minutes and processed thru all the emotions that happened ("We live in XYZ, that's not supposed to be here", etc.).
You want to protect your kids from tweebleheads but the fact is... there will be times that you
won't be there. So you need to give coping tools first.
